Prelude on the Sea is an allegorical movie combining live action hand-puppetry with the spectacular nature of Kamenjak National Park in Croatia.

The story has the ‘quest aspect’ of Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist, and frequently references

Alexander Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo. Musical influences from Tchaikovsky to Holst figure in the score.

What one will NOT find in the movie are any stores, phones, televisions, computers, wires or mental or physical consumerism. Instead, viewers will be treated to a simple story full of recognisable human shortcomings and resilience.

The movie uses handmade puppets, live action puppetry and incredible scenery from nature and not an AI generator.

The score was recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra.
